Rex Hotel appoints new director

Tao Van Nghe, former director of the five-star Majestic Hotel in downtown HCMC, on Wednesday presented himself before staff of the city’s five-star Rex Hotel by the invitation of Saigontourist Holding Company’s leaders.

The two hotels operate under Saigontourist, the leading hospitality company in the country. Saigontourist has selected Nghe to replace Ha Truong My, who retires, as new director of the Rex Hotel. The 286 room Rex is on Nguyen Hue Boulevard.

Nghe was director of the Saigon Morin Hotel in the ancient city of Hue before he became director of the Majestic in January, 2005.

Saigontourist also selected Nguyen Anh Vu, former director of the Saigon Morin Hotel in Hue City, to replace Nghe as new director of the Majestic. Nghe said he would formally offer the position to Vu today. (By Dao Loan in HCMC - January 7, 2010)
